Joseph Raymond Kowalski

	Joseph Raymond Kowalski, 83, of Scheller, passed away at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2001 at his residence.
	Joseph was a retired farmer and had been a livestock and limestone trucker.  He had also been a school bus driver for the Waltonville School.  He was a Bald Hill Township Supervisor.  He was a member of the St. Barbara Catholic Church at Scheller.
	He was born March 8, 1918 at Scheller, the son of John and Pauline (Zielinski) Kowalski.  He married Hedwig R. Betlejewski on August 20, 1940 at St. Barbara Church at Scheller and she survives.
	He is survived by his wife of Scheller, daughter- Charlotte Amos and husband Fred of Hazel Wood, Mo., two sons, Michael D. Kowalski of Radom and John Kowalski and wife Debbie of Mt. Vernon, seven granddaughters, two great grandsons and one great granddaughter.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Stanley, Andrew and John Kowalski, eight sisters- Anna Kuddis, Martha Millowski, Catherine Kabat, Jane Miloshewski, Cecelia Lisewski, Helen Sexton, Mary Barry and Emily Kabat.
	Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2001 at the St. Barbara Catholic Church in Scheller with Fr. Wilbert Iffert officiating.
	Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.  The Rosary was said at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
	Interment was in the St. Barbara Cemetery at Scheller.
	Memorials may be made to Masses.
